Steve has a nearly 20-year career as a project management and construction professional, including eight years as the owner of a general contracting company. His understanding of construction and love for building has guided his career development from tradesman to foreman and construction project manager to owner’s project manager.

In addition to his core project management capabilities, Steve is experienced in:

  • General knowledge of all phases of construction, including site safety and logistics
  • Managing scope and contract requirements
  • Estimating and bidding for commercial as well as public projects; budget control and cost accounting
  • Historic renovation

Steve’s role in field operations sets him apart – his focus is on managing the myriad of technical details that can occur during construction. His commitment to safety and proper construction methodology provides our clients with an additional measure of security knowing risks are minimized.

Background
Steve’s career began as an apprentice in residential construction.  From 2008 – 2015 he owned two small construction companies, specializing in residential and commercial construction. He managed up to twenty employees and generated over $1M in annual revenue. His work included home improvement and historic renovation work, as well as the new construction of multi-family residential units.

Owner’s Project Manager
After 14 years as a construction project manager, Steve has turned his industry knowledge and experience in managing construction to acting as owner’s project manager, representing the best interests of his clients throughout every stage of a project.   His years of managing work crews has given him the ability to effectively work with a variety of people, understand how to get the most out of a team, and keep projects moving forward through any obstacle that may appear.

Project Manager / Field Operations
At Hereva, Steve manages projects from inception through delivery. He is involved in preliminary planning, budget and design development, and team selection. He also performs project controls, including requisition auditing and site verification. Steve ensures adherence to design intent and specifications, as well as contributes to managing site logistics and site safety concerns. In addition, Steve provides property management services to a variety of clients in both the private and public sectors. He has managed several historic renovation projects in both New York and Massachusetts.
